Interim Crit 1
-
Loose building language – elements need to better clarify, and define skeleton, planes and volume.
-
Watch floor efficiency – limit circulations and maximise usable floor space.
-
Change retail to be more dynamic, currently too boxy.
-
Provide more evidence on study of site & adjacent urban space, building must communicate with existing structures well.
-
Consider projection against rain and shade.
-
Composition of spaces can be improved, avoid having awkward spaces.
-
Better justification for bridge, currently a weak excuse.
-
Look into more unique pedestrian bridge designs.
Interim Crit 2
-
Must further understand the logic of the project.
-
Tell a realistic story for this project.
-
Must be clear in intention on zoning of space. Why are the spaces separate?
-
How do people prefer their work environment?
-
Who exactly are the ones occupying the building, name a client (group/ organisation/ company/ etc.)?
-
How many are allowed to occupy the building? Must have estimated number of occupants.
-
Require conventional promoter for this project.
-
Tip given; Patrick Grove as main client. Catcha Group founder, he is a talent scout and investor. Large investor group as a possible client.
-
Consider building as a platform for discovering talent. Like TV show Shark Tank, where prototyping and innovations are showcased to investors.
-
Look into Rimbun Dahan as precedent.
-
Users don’t need to be permanent users. First enters building program to develop idea and showcase talents and skills, afterwards they leave to create bigger company opportunities.
